Sydney put on one of its best days of the summer at The Sydney Morning Herald Cole Classic, with thousands of participants diving in to complete the 1km, 2km and 9km ocean swims at Shelly and Dee Why beaches.
Callum Lowe-Griffiths won the 2km swim with a time of 20 minutes and 55 seconds, while Alicia Caldwell won the female category, finishing the course in 21 minutes and 55 seconds.
The 1km swim saw Evan Stratton take out first place for the men in 10 minutes and 59 seconds, while Brittanee Newman was the first woman to cross the line with a time of 12 minutes and 13 seconds, making her seventh overall in the 1km swim.
The Dee Why to Manly 9km swim kicked off at 8am this morning, with Cormac Guthrie taking out the top spot with a time of 1 hour, 33 minutes and 41 seconds, while Zoe Whitfield won the female category, finishing the course in 1 hour, 43 minutes and 38 seconds.
